Public Advocacy Section Mission

The mission of the Public Advocacy Section (PAS) is to achieve social justice and equity for marginalized and/or vulnerable people through litigation and public policy.

Clients

PAS clients include victims of domestic abuse, unaccompanied minors in immigration actions, individual social justice advocates and activists, juvenile defenders, and low-income tenants.

While some cases are handled pro bono, other cases are assigned legal fees that are calculated on a sliding scale based on the client’s income.
